do you not see that Allah drives along with the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, so that you see the rain coming forth from their midst? Moreover, he sends down of the clouds that are (like) mountains wherein is hail, afflicting therewith whom he pleases and turning it away from whom he pleases; the flash of his lightning almost takes away the sight (43)

What you read above was the translation of the 43rd verse of Nour (light) chapter of Koran.

A child who is in primary school knows that hail is composed of solidification of raindrops in the atmosphere, but the omniscient Allah assumes that there are mountains in the sky and hail are come down from these mountains. Maybe a reason that Muslim countries are not developed is that they try to make themselves as knowledgeable as their God does. Muslims and Allah must suit each other. Allah assumes that heaven is a solid place. He does not know about the science of astronomy and he does not know about experimental sciences either. However, if you show these kinds of verses to a Muslim, he tries to justify the mistakes. He will tell you that Koran needs interpretation. We cannot understand the real meaning of the verses, a clergy who is an expert in Islamic jurisprudence should interpret these verses and so …
We will never understand why Allah should talk in mystery in a way that he looks like an insane person that cannot control his speeches.

Gloomy story of Bahais in Iran

I read the autobiography of Anwar Sheikh, the Indian writer, and I motivated to write about the
Muslims attitude toward nonbelievers or other cults and religions.
An introduction to Anwar SheikhAnwar biography:
Anwar Shikh was born in 1928 in Gojerat of India. a city that is part of Pakistan now.Because his birthday was in the hajji month, they named him Hajji Mohammad, later he was named Anwar, because he was circumcised at birthday. (anwar means enlightened) His mother was both a religious woman and a scholar, so Anwar Sheikh grew up in a very religious family. He says, in his autobiography that he had killed 3 Sikh men to gain Allah's mercy and end up in heaven living with eternal virgins & hurries. He claims that he was raised in a religious family, and that he had read the Koran several times. Because he had read the Koran blindly, he had never grasped the contradictions in the Koran. He added that he had been a Muslim up until the age 25. One day when he had been reading the Koran, he recited a verse loudly. In that verse Allah says "when you are speaking with Mohammad, don't raise your voice before him." Something shook him in his mind: -- Is Allah Mohammad's servant? Why couldn't Mohammad utter these petty guidance to his followers himself? He started to recite the Koran again. However, he read it critically with an open mind this time. He immigrated to Britain and when he became a well-off man, he quit his occupation, and started to write .Today, in the Muslim world, he is presumed more dangerous than Salmon Rushdie. Somewhere in his autobiography, Anwar Sheikh says that, in India Muslims burned a man in a fireplace and fastened his corpse to a big motorcycle and pulled him on the ground, simply because he accidentally threw one of the pages of the Koran in fire. His autobiography motivated me to write about the Bahai faith in Shiraz. Muslims try to convince other religious followers that Islam is a religion of peace. They do indeed mis-represent and misinterpret the Koranic verses in order to deceive the populace, but truth will manifest itself. Many Koranic verses order the Muslims to kill the infidels or the people of the book until they subdue or give tribute. (We will not mention those verses here.)Bahaees faith in Shiraz:(Shiraz is a fairly large city in Southwest part of Iran and is the capital of the Fars province.) Before the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran, some benighted fundamentalist went to the Bahais township in Shiraz and started harassing them. Sefat was a Bahai hunter. He was a very compassionate and patient man. Every night when he came home exhausted, he heard the voice of the Muslim hoodlums insulting him and his family. One of them told Sefat that he should give them his daughter. Sefat couldn't tolerate such insults. He took his gun and went atop the roof in his house and shot the Muslims who insulted the Bahais . Then after killing about 70, he committed suicide. The day after this incident, the hoodlums were named as martyrs of Islam. All Muslim men and women spit on the corps of this brave man who defended his family. Then they attacked all the Bahais they knew looting their house, their belongings and everything in their reach such as meat grinder, juicer, gas cylinders and etc., finally setting the house on fire. Some of the Bahais escaped that night. However, some of the old women and men have to remain in their houses, because they could not go anywhere or they did not have any acquaintances elsewhere in other cities. That morning, as a child, I was witness to the beastly behaviour of the Muslims toward the Bahais. I saw a man who made a loop by a rope, threw it around an old Bahai man, and dragged him on the ground. They took off another man's pants and ran him around the township. One of my Bahai friends told me that, when Muslims burnt down the Bahais' homes she had only been a little child. Her brother owned a van. They got on the van and wrapped a blanket on themselves, in order not to be recognized by the Muslims. They went to their aunt's house who was a Muslim woman. It was 12 pm. Nonetheless, the aunt did not permit them to enter her house. She told them that "I am afraid the Muslims might burn down my house because of you." It was a rainy night in winter. They wondered in the streets for 2 hours. Her brother told them he had a close friend nearby & that he would perhaps allow them to stay at his house. They went there hopelessly. The friend embraced her brother & invited them in his house, and told them that his home is like theirs. He added: "Help yourselves." He took care of them for two months .They did not have any funds to live on. After two months, they decided to leave that house and start a new life. The family, who were wealthy, has to live on working in Muslim houses now. They went to a place near their township. My friend told me that whenever Muslim women saw her mother in a queue or somewhere in the township, they insulted her and some times, they pulled her scarf and pulled her hair. She came back home with tears running down on her face. In another part of the story, my friend told me that, one of her relatives who had been a Major in the army had been accused of being one of those who helped Sefat on that incident. His name was Azamatollah Fahandezh. He never did so. He was a man of prestige, and every body loved him. After the Islamic revolution, Hezbollah (The Party of Allah) executed him just because some Muslim gave a false testimony that he had helped Sefat in killing Muslim insulters. He was executed for the crime he had never committed. These are sad stories of those who live in the Muslim countries and have a different faith.

If I were a Muslim man
Have you ever thought why some Christians convert to Islam? Why dose Islam appeal to somebody? Is it the religion of peace while there are many verses in the Koran that order to kill nonbelievers and infidels? Is violence in Christianity more than Islam? Is Allah benevolent while in Koran order to amputate thieves’ hands to punish them for committing robbery? Are Muslim countries more developed and industrial than Christian countries?

I cannot deny that there are many people who convert to Islam. At least I have seen one of them with my own eyes. He has come from America to Iran to investigate about Islam. He knows Persian and Arabic very well.
In my country, apostasy will be punished with death. Although many people have disgusted Islam, they do not dare to reveal their true about Islam. However if some body converts to Islam, they will show off about him.
By the way, in ancient Mesopotamia men did not have the right of polygamy unless their wives were barren. However, in Islam men are entitled to marry at least four woman and as much as bondwomen that they can afford them. In Mohammad era, warriors could cohabit with bondmaids that they had captured in wars. This rule is not abrogated now, but the time of slavery is passed. However, Muslim men still enjoy having different wives.

I have a Christian friend that told me she would convert to Islam if she were a Muslim man. I asked her why would you convert to Islam if you were a Muslim man? She answered Muslim men can enjoy having 4 wives. Therefore, if I were a man I would tell Jesus “oh please forgive me for awhile. I want to convert to Islam to enjoy cohabiting with many women.” I will marry 4 wives and then when one of them is boring I will divorce her and again I will marry another woman. Then when I enjoyed fully, again I will convert to Christianity and will ask Jesus to forgive me.
Don’t you think that this is one of the reasons that Islam appeals to some Christians?

Dose Allah fulfill your prayer

In Iran there are many unknown shrines that Shiite cult of Muslims ascribe them to descendants of Mohammad. Whereas Muslims invaded Iran in Sasanid era, maybe some of these shrines belong to Mohammad offspring (If he had any at all).Shiites like ancient times that people gave gift to gods, go to these shrines and cook some foods and distribute it among themselves with the hope that Allah will fulfill their prayer. They believe that descendants of Mohammad had been innocent, so if they ask the souls of these descendants of Mohammad to plead Allah on behalf of them, Allah will fulfill their prayer sooner.

In view of Shiites, Allah needs a broker or a mediator to hear his creatures plead for help. Is Allah still an omniscient, all-powerful, benevolent, and consistent if he fulfills our prayer by means of a mediator or without interference of any humankind?

If Allah fulfills our prayer, then our will is superior to his will. Allah forgets his will and accepts our wills. In other word, we can impose our demand on God. Allah like a servant obeys our commands. The difference is that we don’t order harshly, but by pleading and crying and asking a broker to speak on behalf of us.

Is Allah omniscient while he knows what I need, but he destines me to something else? Should we tell Allah what he has predetermined was false? Dose it mean that Allah some times do some mistake in his decision if he changes his mind and cure my disease after I pray for him? I think Allah is ambivalent while he changes his mind for pleading of a human. The system of cause and effect will be meaningless if saying prayer to Allah causes any event. We grease God’s palms, and then god changes his mind and a patient with an incurable illness become healthy. We cannot rely on any scientific research, because there is the possibility of a change in God’s opinion. Is Allah full of complex that his servants should plead him to change his mind, while he knows everything about us? How can Allah be an omniscient while he changes his mind? How can he be consistent while pleading affects him? How can he be a benevolent while he predetermines something for us that are not suitable for us? Do we realize our situation better than he dose?

Mohammad had a blind comrade. Ali’s brother was blind also. If God listen to innocent pleading, better than common people, then why Allah didn’t cure these buddies of Mohammad. Why Shiites expect that Allah by help of a mediator will listen to them, while these innocent couldn’t do any thing for their relatives? While these innocents were alive couldn’t do anything for their dear ones. Then how their soul can plead for people who they don’t have any feeling toward them?

Conclusion:
If Allah fulfills our demand by saying prayer, then he cannot be omniscient, benevolent, all-powerful, and consistent. This God doesn’t deserve worship.

Why I am an Atheist

I was born in a somehow religious family. However, my family never forced me to pray to Allah. While I went to my sister's house, her husband made his daughter and me pray for Allah. Although I was a child, I could not accept that a girl in an empty room had to cover herself while she is praying.

I was just a 9 years old girl while a shopkeeper in our neighborhood told my brother to make me put a scarf. Not knowing the philosophy behind veiling, wearing a scarf was boring for me. I hate a doctrine that asks a 9 years old girl to cover her hair because I couldn’t understand why I should differentiate between my hair and my finger and my nose. Why I had not had to cover my fingers but my hair?

While I was 14 years old, I took a book from our shelf. The book was about God. It didn’t try to prove Allah's existence. Its text was something like these sentences: Allah is great, Allah is all-powerful, and Allah can do everything he wishes. Allah knows about all sciences. He is omniscient. He is kind and so…

Although one of my favorite activities was reading books, I never had read a book about Allah or God. The first book that I chose disgusted me of Allah. After reading some pages, something sparked in my mind. I told myself these kinds of attributes that the writer assumed for Allah is raised from human incapability and whishes to overcome his weak points. By reading that book, I felt that human beings maybe need Allah to tranquilize the pain of their weakness. His weakness against natural disasters, against loss of loved one, against the fear of death and so.

I put aside the book. By such feeling that Allah is nothing except a picture that human-created in his dreams to sedate his pain, I never accept to pray Allah. However, I couldn’t disprove Allah while somebody asked me why I didn’t believe in him.

One day I read a book that its title was Islamic educations. I read in one of its pages that Imam Hassan, that Shiites believe that he is the second Mohammad successor, had 75 Nikah wives. I asked my sister what the meaning of Nikah was. She told me Nikah means marriage. I told myself how a capricious and lustful  man had been an Imam who had been responsible to lead a nation. Fortunately, my brother was a religious man and he had many religious books including Nahjol Balagha, which is a collection of Imam Ali (the first successor of Mohammad) speeches. I read that book until I reached a sentence like this “ don’t consult with women, because their faith and their wisdom has defected. Their faith defects because they tolerate menstrual period once in a month and they can not pray Allah and their wisdom defects because the testimony of two of them is equal to the testimony of one man.” Really, I hated such Imam. I felt that I am belittled in an Islamic society. As a child, I asked myself why I should love a leader who had belittled me. Always I told myself I am living in an Islamic society that the press never says something wrong about Islam. If I lived in another country, I could find books against Islam. I needed to find books to confirm my presuppositions.

Today, I believe that lie has a quality that reveals itself somewhere. Then, there is no need to read a book to address directly their cruel activities, I can infer from Islamic books what is wrong and what is right.

In our high school, we had Islamic education. I remember that they told us Imam Hassan couldn’t fight with Moaviya who was one of Islam's enemies, because he couldn’t find enough followers to start a battle. Then they told us that Imam Hossein fought with Yazid the son of Moaviya only with 72 followers and most of them were his relatives. How is the quality of Islam that the great son of Mohammad, the prophet, cannot find enough followers to defend Islam after passing about 70 years of Islam advent?

After reading Imam Hassan terms and conditions in the contract that he had signed with Moaviya, I understood that while Imam Hassan worries had not been Islam, then Imam Hossein's worries had not been either. If you read the content of Moaviya and Imam Hassan's contract, then you will see that Islam had not any role in quitting war against Moaviya. Imam Hassan asks Moaviya 1- to give him the tax of Darab ( a city in the southern part of Iran).2- to quit cursing Imam Ali while he is on pulpit 3- the government would be transfer to Ali’s Family after Moaviya death. I think the content is more than what I mentioned, but I cannot remember all of them. Therefore, I assumed that Mohammad wars had been for goals such as this.

I was sure the reality is something that our teacher never told us or maybe they themselves didn’t know them. I was thirsty to find books about the real faces of Islamic figures.

I read Koran to see what was the message of Allah for human beings to make them prosperous in this world and hereafter. I found many absurdities in that holy book. I read in that holy book men can hit their wives if they disobey them.(34. Nisa) I read that Allah says to the prophet that there is not necessary to be equitable to his wives.” Took one of them you prefer and reject those whom you don’t like (53, Ahzab.) “ I read in that book that we should not love our parents if they are heathen. I read that Allah warriors can pick married women who captured in battles.( 24. Nisa). The absurdities of Koran were so much that I cannot gather all of them in this article. The historical and scientific errors of Koran disgusted me of Allah. Even with my poor Arabic knowledge, I realized that some of Koran sentences have grammatical errors. I saw that the first sentence of Koran is in the name of Allah, the compassionate, the merciful, but Allah through whole Koran does not show his mercifulness and compassion. He just orders to kill non-Muslims until they subdue to Islam or pay Islamic taxes or Jizya.

I read the Bible to see whether Christian’s god is better than Allah. However, I saw that Jesus Christ who is god embodiment on earth, curse a fig tree for not having fruit. As if, he is an insane person that cannot realize that a tree can give fruit just in certain conditions. I didn’t read old and new testament at that time. I still was not aware of the absurdities in these books. Later, I understood that Yahweh is as cruel as Allah is.

One of my high school friends gave me a 3-volume book about evolution. I saw that human scalp and skulls that are found in the different geological periods were different. Then I was assured that we couldn’t be a creature that a knowledgeable God has created us. Our biology teacher told us that among animals just monkeys every month have menses like human beings. She told us that monkeys’ chromosomes are 48 and I told myself it is not very unimaginable for a 48-chromosome creature to loose just a pair of the chromosome to be like human being who has 46 chromosomes. Why we are so much similar to monkeys? Why we are not similar to animals that for example have 18 pairs chromosome? Fortunately, I saw in our biology book that all animals’ fetus shape was somehow similar to each other. In our biology book, we read that Dr. Morgan could create nucleotide in the vacuumed condition in the laboratory. Nucleotides are phosphoric ester of a nucleoside, the basic structural unit of nucleic acids (DNA or RNA). Morgan's experiment assured me that Allah or Yahweh is not the cause of creation.
One day I assumed God before the creation of the universe. Knowing that time and place are interdependent, I was wonder how a god can exist in a place that does not exist in a time that did not exist. In our solar system, 1 second means 1 on 86400 of the time that takes for the earth to revolve around its orbit. On another planet which is smaller or bigger than our earth, one second means something else. Then no place can exist before the start of time and vise versa. I mean that time and place coexist. Then the universe is a provenience phenomenon. Let’s imagine that when there was not any time and any places, there was a God. Where was this god? Can a god emerge from nothing? Before the existence of the universe, how god occupied himself? What was the use of his existence? Can existence be meaningful while there is not any place and at any time? How a God can be a creator when there is not any world to be its creator? How can a god provide sustenance for creatures while there is not any creature? Therefore, God cannot be nutritive or alimental. While there is not any world, there is not any science and mystery, so how god can be omniscient? When there is not any weakness, how a god can be all-powerful? For what purposes God had used his power before the creation of the world? How can God be compassionate when there is no creature to be kind to them? How can God be wise, when there aren’t any wrong or right matters? Then before the creation of the universe god was nothing. He attained all his attributes after the creation of the world. God can not emerge by nothing. Therefore, the universe is superior to God. Thinking in this way made me an atheist. Therefore because I believe that God before the creation of the universe has not any attribute, and then there is no doubt that human being conferred all these attributes upon Allah or Yahweh or Krishnan. Therefore, I can not believe in a God that cannot guide human being and he needs a prophet or a minister to accept this task and do something that he himself had not been able to do for thousands years. I cannot believe in a God that has sat in heaven and order us what to do and what not to do.
